Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The host, Karlo, was very kind and always responded quickly to our questions or concerns. On arrival, we were pleasantly surprised with a lovely charcuterie board, fresh bread, and some drinks — a really thoughtful touch. The house itself is beautiful, with a great balcony. The pool was clean, and everything we needed was provided — from mosquito repellents to board games and more.

Negative: Maybe it was because we stayed at the end of the season, but a few things were not working. The outdoor shower and some of the exterior lights didn’t work. The dishwasher’s upper rack was partly broken, which made it difficult to pull out and load dishes. There was also a leak in the center of the house when it rained. The pool is located between houses, so it stays in the shade for most of the day. We also came across scorpions and centipedes — not a complaint, just a friendly warning (we understand the local fauna in Krk can’t be controlled!).

Summary: Great host and house, but some maintenance issues.
